Serendipity 2.1-beta1 released

Today the Serendipity team released the first beta of the brand new version 2.1. There are several new features that can be tested by interested users.
There are some big changes in the core. Serendipity is now compatible to PHP7. Other changes and new functions are:
- New bundled responsive themes "Timeline" and "Clean-Blog"
- Improved usability of plugin upgrades by combining sidebar and event plugins and upgrading multiple plugins at once
- Permission checks for the dashboard output and comments
- Usability improvements to the media library, bulk moving support

All interested users are invited to test it but remember it's a beta version. Feedback should be provided at the user forum.
